Restaurant Recruitment Consultant

Accomplished restaurateurs now consulting in the recruitment industry.
I was born into hospitality and held my first restaurant positions in our family restaurant in South Africa where I worked my way up from kitchen porter to restaurant manager in well-known large brands, Turtle Bay Restaurant, News Cafe and Legends Cafe. Moving back to England I worked in the West End in Maxwells and Chez Gerard Thistle Hotel and then into their busiest Heathrow Airport site.  
For the last seven years, I have focused on airport businesses from Chez Gerard and then into retail electronics with Sony and Dixons. I then took on a new opening opportunity for Heston Blumenthal's, The Perfectionists Cafe where we recruited over 100 new staff to The Fat Duck Group, trained and developed the teams, implemented operational structure and business plans moving forward.
Following on from the successful restaurant opening I started to consult into the recruitment industry. As an accomplished restaurateur, I am able to fully understand the industry, engage with candidates on a personal level and have a deeper understanding of my clients needs allowing me to be integral to the recruitment strategy and succession planning to business in growth.
