GDPR, You and The Restaurant Recruiter…
Who is The Restaurant Recruiter?
We are a recruitment consultancy business. We support candidates in finding opportunities that will challenge and develop their careers. When we put a candidate forward this reflects on our experience as past restaurateurs, so we take a little more time in getting to know exactly what a candidate is looking for, only then do we introduce the client and the opportunity.
What’s our commitment to you?
Simply put, your interest will only ever be shared with a client once you’ve agreed that the opportunity is right for you. You’ll receive confirmation that your interest has been sent and we’ll communicate next steps clearly.
What do we need from you?
We’ll connect with you when you apply for a role and ensure your support details are right for you. You also have your own access and you can update, amend and even delete information at any time. We want this information to be as updated as possible, so we’ll ask you at least once a year to “get in touch” and login. We work for you, so the more up to date the better.
How you we store candidate information?
All information is stored in our cloud-based recruitment software. We do not print your personal details nor store any information about you anywhere else. You can see it all when you log in to your own profile through our jobs page.
How long you keep that candidate information?
We like to keep in touch. Our support to you is greatly improved when we know exactly what you are looking for, what your current position is and what your development wants and needs are. We will communicate regularly and at least once a year we will ask you to “get in touch”, log in and update your details so we can support you better. If we have not had any contact with you within 24 months we will delete your profile and personal details. Not to worry though, if you reach out again in the future, we’ll pick up a fresh conversation and support you from there.
What rights candidates have to access their data?
You can access your personal information at any time through our jobs page, request reminder passwords and gain access to amend and delete your own information.
Do you have the right to have your data deleted on request?
Of course. Should you no longer require our support you can do this yourself through our jobs page on our website or simply email us from the website email links.
Why do we store your CV, Personal and Client information about you?
As a candidate we might have your data stored for one of the following reasons:

What happens in the event of a data breach?
In the event of a data breach, the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) will be notified within 48 hours and every attempt at contacting those affected will be made to inform them of the breach.
Once the breach has been contained, a full review will be undertaken, and a full report will be created detailing the root cause of the incident and any factors that contributed to it. Any recommendations to rectify this from happening again will be actioned and implemented as soon as possible.
