Assistant General Manager 50K-55K



We are looking for an accomplished Restaurant Assistant General Manager or an experienced Restaurant General Manager to support the GM in a large restaurant and cocktail bar in London. This is a big position and would suit a GM looking to develop into a large award-winning independent brand or a very experienced, high footfall, large team AGM looking to develop into a role that will challenge you and develop you supported by a very professional senior team.


What to expect:


  • Effective salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per year (5K bonus after probation)
  • Contracted minimum 45 hours per week, across 5 days.
  • Weekly changing rota, requiring flexibility Monday - Sunday.
  • We're an all day dining Cafe, providing daytime and evening shifts.
  • Smart casual dress guidelines - trainers of your choice are a must have!


The role will require you to demonstrate:


  • Your ability to lead a large team +100 colleagues and deliver an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Lead from the front, be values-led and demonstrate how you would manage the health of a team and business.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in floor management, cocktail bars and stock control.
  • Demonstrate your ability to lean into challenges, develop solutions and be the face of our brand at all levels.
  • Demonstrate how you drive results and performance manage your teams through mentorship and coaching.

About you:


  • You have been working as an Assistant General Manager/ General Manager in a busy restaurant environment for at least the past year. You want to be part of a company that can help you flourish and become the best you can be.
  • Working in partnership with the General Manager, your big-hearted approach will make coaching and developing other members of the team a natural focus.
  • You are ready to be the General Manager’s right arm; a natural leader, assuming responsibility to ensure the restaurant runs as it should in their absence.
  • You’re commercially savvy and bring ideas to the table, eager to develop your overall awareness and understanding further.
  • First-class service is your priority; always prepared to seek tough feedback, working closely with the General Manager to ensure you raise the standards every day and exceed everyone’s expectations.
