We are now recruiting for a full-time 40/hours per week Commis Chefs. This is an exciting role best suited for a developing chef looking for an apprentice position that will develop a unique skill in preparing some of our most famous Dumplings.

Our Dumplings

Each of these iconic dumplings undergoes 40 minutes of hand preparation. Each stage of the process has a Dian Xin dim sum chef assigned to it, all of whom are trained for up to six months before they are allowed to serve the dish in the restaurant. The dumplings are recognisable from the 18 plus pleats that used in their intricate wrapping.

As a Commis Chef you will:

Deliver excellent customer service and a part of a value-led team that really care about customers and working to a high standard.

·      Have a desire to learn new skills, take on new challenges and help others

·      Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships both internally and externally

·      The ability to take ownership of tasks and work with minimum supervision

·      Well organised and self-motivated

·      Attention to detail and develop your chef skills in a very hands-on pastry focused role

·      Ability to work quickly and with your hands as the role will require you to work with pastry and create delicate food items to perfection

 

Experience:

In order to be successful, we are not looking for lengthy kitchen experience but rather an attitude and eagerness to master the art of pastry. Have patience and the discipline to work on single food items repetitively. A lot of time and effort that goes into creating our dumplings and you will learn a skill that will help develop your career as a chef.

*All applicants must be over the age of 18 due to the sale of alcohol in our restaurants

*You would need to be fully flexible to work full-time on any day as your days off will differ week to week

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £9.60 /hour with potential increase after your review period
